*Conference registration does not include registration for credit.

*Confratute for Credit Registration

Confratute conference registration and billing are separate from the strand for credit registration and billing. Credit registration is not included in the conference registration fees. You will register for Confratute credit just like you register for your other classes in the UConn StudentAdmin system.

 Academic Credit

Any Confratute topic/strand can be taken for academic credit, earning you three (3) graduate credits for subject/course number and title EPSY 5195: Workshop in Education OR EPSY 5198: Curriculum Lab. You can register for either one.

Topic/Strand Selection and Product Development

Participants who register and pay for graduate credit will select a topic/strand as their “major” and work independently with their strand coordinator (instructor) to develop an independent project or product to fulfill the requirements for earning credit in either EPSY 5195 or 5198.

Daily attendance for the full Confratute program is required.

You will discuss with your strand coordinator what you would like to do for a strand product for credit. You should work with the strand coordinator to complete a Management-Plan.pdf (uconn.edu).  Complete the product and submit it and your Management Plan to the strand coordinator (instructor) either during Confratute or before the October 1, 2022 deadline, to have your grade submitted to the Registrar. Should you need your grade submitted prior to October 1, 2022, please inform your strand coordinator (instructor).

Register for Academic Credit

Academic credit registration and billing are separate from Confratute conference registration and billing. There is not an option to register for academic credit using the online conference registration form. Instead, using the spreadsheet of Confratute Credit Topics find the column with subject/course number (you can use either EPSY 5195 or 5198), then search for the class number that corresponds to the topic/strand you want to take for academic credit. For example, Challenging Students with Engaging Questions, lists class number 2403 in the EPSY 5195 column and class number 2429 in the EPSY 5198 column.

Complete your course registration online http://www.studentadmin.uconn.edu/ using your NetID and password. (**Note: the best way to search for a topic/strand is by class number.)

Because the system allows only one instructor of record for each course, don’t be confused when you see Joseph Renzulli as the instructor for EPSY 5195 and Sally Reis as the instructor for EPSY 5198. The instructors (strand coordinators) for each topic/strand are listed on the aforementioned spreadsheet.

Pay Course Fee Bill

Payment for academic credit is a separate, additional cost beyond the Confratute conference registration fee. Summer 2022 fees are as follows: Course fee $2,922.00 for three (3) graduate credits, activity fee $16.00, enrollment fee $45.00, and technology fee of $30.00. These fees will be billed to your UConn account. Complete your credit card or e-check payment online using the student administration system http://www.studentadmin.uconn.edu/ .

Financial Aid Students

Applicants for summer financial aid must register for courses (minimum of 6 credits) before they are eligible for aid. For more information on summer financial aid requirements visit: https://financialaid.uconn.edu/summer-winter-programs/

Non-Financial Aid Students

See “register for credit” instructions above and be sure to register on or before June 1, 2022. You may make changes to course topic/strand selections in http://www.studentadmin.uconn.edu/ until Friday, July 15th.
